good evening ~

it hit 52 degrees here today.........? yesterday upper 30's almost 40 or so degrees.........so we have had september weather in december, and december weather in october and november?  what's up with that?  no moisture......okay, no SNOW.....LOL. doesn't look to be a 'white christmas' here, bummer, i like snow cover and a white christmas except when i have to shovel it....... ;D

on the good side, i quick opened the hive, and shoved a winter patty in on the bees. they were actually flying a bit.

Good Evening to you too! We have had weather in the 40-50's for quit awhile, and a week of torential rains. Yaaaaaaaaah!

We put our holiday tree outside our big livingroom picture window, and add bird food, seed bells, and suets. We leave it up all winter and enjoy the birds and lights. I put on the lights today. Then I wondered to the hives to check sticky boards and remove some dead bees from the entrances. Mother hive, one deep one super, has bees hanging out on the floor of the hive, unknowingly I poked my stick in and pushed into a bunch of living bees. OOPS! sorry sorry sorry sorry yikes. But they didn't seem to mind too much, just came to the entrance and took a look around.

I know what a Christmas tree is, but what is a holiday tree? Is it something atheists decorate with?

oh lordy, here we go ...... siiiiiigh

nooo, I'm not an athiest ...... another siiiiigh ..... If I met a person who was kind of heart, compassionate, gentle to animals, tries to do the right thing, shares what they have if another is in need.... and I found that they were athiest.... I would link arms with them the same as I would YOU, and trudge thru this world arm in arm doing the best that we can.

Wow Riv  :)  That's a warm summer day for you!

I got to work in one of my fav clients today, she likes her massage work done by very loud classic rock n roll music. It's a blast and I always come home invigorated ~

Then went to our new meat shop in town and ordered a prime rib roast to cook for family this saturday... I have never cooked prime rib before... I'm a little intimidated... that's a big amount of money going out on something that I could easily cremate ~  :eusa_think:

jen, what did you order for the prime?

is it already seasoned? or do you have to 'crust' it.........and did the prime come with some simple instructions?

ray, it has been real foggy here too.  the mist coming off the river has been like a 'blanket'.

Jen

I'm no good with jigsaw puzzles. I prefer to read or listen to a good beekeeping podcast.  I download them at a coffee shop and listen to them later on my ipad. I watch you tube beekeeping also. Long winters here.

Riverbee.

Still got snow. About 6 inches.  Might get rain tomorrow. 4 more months of winter.

I love to read as well, always have a book going. I also like crossword puzzles, great alzheimers prevention. Hubby can do the hard New York Times puzzles. Not Me! I do like winter weather, but soo happy to see spring.

Christmas came early..   The books came from Ray today, so I have my Rum and Coke all mixed up, I am kicked back in my easy chair..  As soon as I set aside this computer the reading will commence..  with any luck my wife will wake me up right here in the morning!
Drinking RUM before noon makes you a PIRATE not an alcoholic!

good evening and merry christmas......

a few days ago i was getting a package ready to send to montana. to pack the box, i retrieved a bag full of shipping peanuts, paper and bubble wrap.
i realized that my critters weren't present to pester me with chasing, picking at, chewing on or running away with the 'peanuts', paper and bubble wrap to send me chasing after them........LOL!!!
sure miss them in my life........

this morning it was snowing, then turned to sleet, then a misting rain.  temps here are unusual for this time of year. (warmer and very little snow)  the one and only hive i have is set for stores, still heavy.  i do have a shim on for extra feed just in case.  some of the winter feed i placed early on  has been somewhat utilized but will check again when temps are above 40 again, and replace or add more.

merry christmas~
