Sorry, Jack, I can't answer that. Riverbee would ban me from the forum for life.

......... ;D................ :D

i don't wear heels anymore unless required, and pretty much have to find them and dust them off. no leather that zips up unless it's a jacket......
all my boots are leather, (no zippers lol) just good ol fashioned cowboy boots and lace ups (roper style).

the bee hat gets a lot of looks and laughs and gets passed around. i do have the beer glasses, they have seen some use.......... :D also, one other item for attire when i am out with the girls, is we sometimes wear barbie sun glasses, you know the ones sold for little girls you can buy for 2.99 or whatever they are............ :D

ellsworth rod and gun club has a couple of banquets every year, pheasant banquet and a turkey shoot. great gig, lots of fun. chicken dinner with all the fixings, skeet shooting, auction, raffles, etc.  about 8 of us walked in one year to a turkey shoot banquet wearing the barbie sunglasses.  my friends are mostly all city girls and like to have fun, all married with kids except for one. don't think she's gonna get married anytime soon.....aw that's another story..........LOL!

anyway, i love to shoot skeet (clay pigeons/targets), have since i was old enough to shoulder a shotgun and fire one without falling over on my butt. my friends wanted to see me shoot, so i did, but i took the barbie sunglasses off. (they were all wearing theirs LOL) i beat the guys and a woman who is a good shooter a couple rounds, one of the guys challenged me and bet i couldn't shoot as well with the sunglasses on.....LOL, so i put the barbie sunglasses on and beat them again............ :D :D :D

we all made quite a haul that night, one friend won a wheelbarrow full of liquor, (we inherited the wheelbarrow), a ham, a turkey, a pair of really nice binocs and another friend won a really nice scooter, which she really didn't know what to do with.... we were riding that thing all over the next morning........ :D

btw no pix of the barbie sunglasses shooting skeet will be posted, use your imagination............. :D
and scott, just for you.......no dance pics either but maybe this one...........

............

ps sorry keith couldn't help it!!!!

LOL!!
You were quite a catch Mrs. River!
I pick on my wife a lot, but she too loves to shoot skeet. we used to belong to the local Walton club and spent a lot of time doing it, until she had her neck surgery. I have a terrible block when skeet shooting, and have VERY often shot a 24, but somehow always manage to miss one, usually the easiest......  I keep hoping she will get better so we can do it again. Although, this way she cant gloat because she beat me as often....
Sounds like your man found a good one!

scott, it's the other way around...........i found a gem and he has managed to sand off some of my rough edges, and for 25 years he has 'put' up with me and all my shenanigans......... :D :D :D
he grew up in the city, i grew up in the country..........different worlds but we have a great life!  my redneck family loves and adores him and they like to pick on him sometimes........ :D

lol, and you guys think i am rough around the edges now?!!!........... :D :D :D :D

skeet shooting.........my dad was a caretaker of the billings rod and gun club (montana), since i was 5 yrs old i guess, until i was a senior in high school. the rod and gun club had a great shooting range and a great setup for skeet......like bunkers the clays were zoomed out of..........lol!  anyway, i learned to shoot pretty good i guess, my dad was a hunter, but he wanted us kids to respect guns and learn to shoot well with any pistol or gun he owned.  i took a fancy to skeet shooting at a young age, i liked it. we have a crazy neighbor down the street, born and raised in the rush river valley; a navy seal, a hard worker, soft around the heart when you get there........lol...... a good man in many ways but sometimes loses his common sense and hard time controlling his anger or the drink and gets himself in trouble....  but he's the first guy you want on your side!

he has a great setup for skeet shooting, expensive clay thrower and most of all a variety of shotguns, and my favorite a benelli.........he calls me every once in awhile...........errrr........invites us down for dinner, drinks.......visit.........i wind up shooting clays with him and my husband winds up shooting the breeze with his wife........... :D

good evening!

been somewhat absent from the forum lately.  we have incredibly warmer weather than normal. day time temps in the upper 30s to the 50's.  we have spits of snow, and there have been some rain showers.  no snow on the ground now, really hasn't been, but someone in my household has all the shovels and roof rakes laying everywhere............seriously funny..... ;D

this time of year we are usually below zero, and typically snow on the ground.  what concerns me, is lack of moisture in the ground come spring.

what is everyone else experiencing?

Dandelions have popped, peepers are singing from the pond, and the bees are preparing to SWARM...  I still have 80 or so hives to build, but its dark out, had to give up for the day, and fill a glass with ice, coke, and RUMMMMMMM.......
Anyone else notice that once you stop moving for the day its REALLY hard to make the knees work when you need to refill the glass?

Agrees!  I am sitting after assembling 20 more boxes with my latest chilled homebrew thinking how nice it is to not have to move... Frames tomorrow, now if only I had a Ted to paint it all...  May have to bribe the kids to do it...

YES, having your own personal TED to do the painting is wonderful. I try to bribe him by buying him lunch when he comes down but he wont have it, so, I ordered him a gift I know he will not refuse. But, you'll have to wait for him to post pics of it to know what it is.

Oooooooh, I'm intrigued!  You do know that's not necessary?  I figure all of this will come out in the end and we'll die even with both of us richer for the experience. Ted

Having you come down to shoot the breeze would make the day go easier and smoother and I would not feel indebted, but you roll up your sleeves and paint, saving me time, effort and money, so i do feel indebted. NO, you do not ask for anything, and do not expect anything, no more than i would expect anything if I came to your place to lend a hand, which is why I figured buying you lunch when your down was quite fair, but NOOOOOO, you wont have anything to do with that, so, I will find another way to ease my own guilty conscience!!!!

    conscience;
    noun
1. the inner sense of what is right or wrong in one's conduct or motives, impelling one toward right action:
to follow the dictates of conscience.

 2.  the complex of ethical and moral principles that controls or inhibits the actions or thoughts of an individual.
