OK,

Here are the pictures that I did take while I was putting it together.
It is indeed a honey warmer.
Initially I was looking to use a broken chest freezer, but I had to use an alternate plan.
Start with a queen castle and wire up the controller and a couple of bulbs

add a queen excluder and a couple of deeps or mediums boxes. Add your pail and an outer cover!

Caution if water or honey hit the bulbs when they are hot they can explode. If you plan on using it to warm honey supers before extracting you may have to remove the cast divider boards to get the heat to the outside frames. But with the thermostats it should work well for you.

Might not be a bad idea to add a little tin diverter over the bulbs to keep that from happening... Like cheap gas BBQ grills use those as "heat diffusers".

I just tried this setup for warming supers. The hot spots actually melted some of the comb. Not good. My solution was a decent "in a pinch" solution, but the meltdown got me thinking about building a purpose built box again.

I finally got my hands on a small (not functioning) chest freezer a few days ago.

Today I had a chance to wire it up and make it into my honey warmer.
Step one was to cut a slot in the front for my controller.

since the controller was a little bit longer than the distance between the inner and outer wall, I decided to use an outlet extender. I think it worked out quite well.

My heat source is just a light bulb. I wired up the light fixture to the controller and wired the controller to a power cord.

The only thing left is to cut a metal grate for the bottom so the buckets or bottles have something to sit on.

What was that controller worth? Nice set up. I have been using a regular house thermostat, but it only goes to 30 C.
Are you going to bother with a fan of any sort? Probably not necessary with that size cabinet?

Yeah, I agree. My honey cabinet has 30 something pails in it and because it's so big I need the air to move around in there.

30 buckets in one cabinet? That is a room not a cabinet.

This freezer can hold one 5 gallon bucket at a time. with room for another smaller bucket. Certainly not high production, but for now it should suit my purposes.

If you figure it takes 300 lbs. to fill my bottling tank, and those are purpose 30 lb. honey pails, it doesn't take long to figure out doing buckets 2 or 3 at a time isn't efficient. You'll soon find out!

With any luck. The nice part is that this whole system is scalable. If I find a bigger freezer or build a large cabinet I can just move the electronics over.
