Theo turned 8 months old  April 2nd.  He is 34 inches at the shoulders and still has a few months of growing.  Still taking his daily 11:00 naps upside down

We had what is called a Theo day yesterday.  This is a day that is dedicated to Theo. We take the day off from the shop and spend it playing and doing a whole lot of nothing.  At the end of the day he is always wore out.  He made it to the bed and that was it.  I had to manually move him out of the way when I was ready to retire for the night as he was dead to the world.

Had Theo at the vet today to check on a front leg joint that was bothering him. He turned 9 months old today and he weighed in at 114 lbs.  Think he might end up a big guy when hes done growing

My pup is doing well.. but only weighed in at 24 lbs a couple days ago...  He ate another bee...  then everyone giggled at him when his nose swelled up as big or bigger than last time...

Valkyrie, the pup in the video I did a few weeks ago is no longer with us.. we buried her yesterday across the pond from the house...  Despite having all of her shots, she contracted Parvo.   Spent a lot of time sitting with her watching her get worse, and nothing I could do about it.   I sat beside her, and checked her every few minutes.. I patted her, she licked my hand, and five minutes later I checked her again, and she was gone.
I have no more faith in vaccinations..  I spend hundreds on them every year..   West nile vaccine for horses is another good example. I pay for the vaccine, then watch them die of west nile anyhow. Is it all just a scam to get money? Why do I pay if they do not work? My daughter gets her flu shots.. I have never had a flu shot.. My daughter gets the flu BAD every year, I have not had the flu in 20 years....   Angry.. and hurt.

Scott- Sooooo very sorry for the passing of your pup, makes me teary. We had a new pup die from parvo many years ago. She was the Christmas morning find for the kids. One week later she passed, so very sick. I learned later that the pup came home with the parvo from the pound. Broke my heart.

I'm on the fence about vaccines. I do believe that the rabies vaccine is neccessary for all involved, and we do get the other shots as well. But we only have one dog at a time so it doesn't drain the wallet.

Never had a flu shot, not planning on getting one. I have an immune system thank you. If I get a flu bug, it's your standard every day bug that lasts a day or two. My girlfriend gets the flu shot every year and some of those years she is down with a hard flu lasting sometimes weeks. I can read between the lines  ;)

What did you name your new boy pup?  :)

So sorry to hear about your pup Scott. When we welcome them into our homes they instantly become family members and the pain when they leave is just as real.
Thinking of ya.

Knitro is his name..  he spent the day with me in the garden, then laid under the deck and watched me mow..  at this moment he is laying on the throw rug in front of the sink, as Momma is making food and he would really hate to MISS anything hitting the floor.....

There was once a shotgun powder.. red Nitro and Blue Nitro, (I think) they became Blue dot and red dot powders... I only remember them on my grandfathers reloading bench..    Since he (the pup) is lab and Spaniel he will be a bird dog, so the name after shotgun powders is fitting...
The K comes from my game name..    Long ago.... and far far away.... my wife commented that I was her prince of the night in front of my son...  We were playing Ultima Online together at that time, and Diablo had JUST came out, we were signing up for Battle.net and I needed a name..  My son came up with KnitePrince, and I have used it ever since..  so the Knitro name fits that way as well.
He will never be in Theo's class...   Yes, he is spoiled, he gets goofy, and acts like a fruitloop, but he JUST cant compare to the Mighty Theo for being TOTALLY relaxed in a chair thats too small for him!

I don't know about that Scott, can you imagine a doggie door Theo size? might as well let the burglers walk right in  :D And I think I would prefer doggie kisses from Knitro than Theo  :D  And Knitro won't have dog bombs the size of basket ball  :D  Every dog has their own strong points  ;)
