Good Idea or?

Thought about doing this for several years and did for a short time.When taking honey off a hive, put the hives number on the super and after extracting put it back on the hive it came off of (either wet or dry) My thinking is it would help keep disease from spreading from one hive to another?? I know Drones are guilty of spreading disease from one hive to another, but it couldn't hurt to try. After i got up to 90+ hives it was a hassle to do when you have several bee yards miles away, but still think it would help. Jack

I swear, Jack.  You write stuff on this forum that I have been thinking!  It's uncanny.  I thought about that when I put a super, that I had extracted, on a weaker hive that I pulled off a stronger hive.  I thought I would give the weaker colony a little boost and let them clean up the super.  Sounded good at the time and then thought I might have made a mistake exposing the weaker colony to something nasty.
