I would rather have excessive propolis than excessive shb and mites and have noted that my healthiest and most hygenic bees at removing mites are also excessive users of propolis and the most productive hives, so I'll take my gluey bees any day

It was said they could work red clover with there longer tongue is one reason i bought them. I don't know if you can still find them or not? Have often wondered (like Gypsi says) if they would be one way to fight shb's, because of the way they propolize every crack and cranny inside the hive?? Jack
