The links and location where there, they just needed to be modified to conform to this new hosting site. Now if someone is paying for photo bucket and willing to copy and download the missing photos, those threads could be restored.

Does photo bucket still give people access to their own photos that people have uploaded to their site with out a subscription?

yes, i have a photobucket account and can access it, with nag screens and the account is essentially worthless for sharing photos unless you pay. i am not willing to pay them.

It is good to know that photos posted on photo bucket are not lost for ever to the owner of them. Some important photos could be downloaded by the original poster and re-downloaded to image post.

I tried to get on there to get my own pics and finally gave up...   Kinda surprised someone at photobucket doesn't have a black eye over this...   Wait, is my hickerbilly showing?

scott, pb removed the download album button, but you can still get your photos off, requires clicking on the photo, r click, save image as.  this is a pita if you have a lot of photos.

i utilized a program that downloaded all of my photos off pb in one fell swoop, preserving the file names and albums they were in. took about 5 minutes i think.  ;D

Lazy PM river you PB user name and Password, Let her get them off for you. It sounds like she has it all figured out. She managed to get Iddee's picts from his trap out posts off PB.

I will have to give it a try first, and see what I can do. I am assuming that won't work for the vids I have on there.

apparently photobucket received many complaints about folks not being to 'download' their own pictures.

instructions here:
COPY OR DOWNLOAD A PHOTO OR VIDEO

one at a time.....and videos must be mp4 format. ( i could probably get them off if they weren't).

maybe i need to start a thread on this.

Mr. Wizard, in the video below the 5 links, who is the guy that filmed that video? JP something?

If we decide to do a cut out instead, JP has good youtubes on cut outs.

JPthebeeman. He has many videos on youtube. He and I have been working together for many years.
