The only downside to it is it isn't water jacketed. I would be very leery of heating honey directly if that was your intention. If all you were looking for was a unheated bottling tank you could probably find something else.

I havn't had to heat anything yet and am pouring from  5 gallon plastic buckets right now, was just looking for a "not so expensive" stainless steel bottling tank.

  50 gallon settling tank...   fifty bucks or so used..

 


  20 gallon settling tank about thirty five dollars used.

   I can use pail or barrel heaters around them (respectively)  if necessary.
 
    I think you will find that the smaller sizes will leave you with buckets filled with honey.. not that that is a bad thing. I fill the two settling tanks and use THAT to bottle, anything else gets sold bulk.
   Look around a bit, put the word out, and good things will follow sooner or later!

Once the extracting is done, remove the inner basket and you have a settling/bottling tank.

Hey Scott, if you don't mind me asking, how do you like those barrel heaters? I have a 45 gallon (55 US) SS drum and I emptied it into five gallon buckets cause I was so worried about honey setting up in there. Are they safe and do they do a decent job of reliquafying granulated honey?

The one I have works, but I wouldnt leave it on..   About a DAY is long enough. It doesnt overheat the honey, but I honestly think it would if I left it longer. I put it on the bottom 1/3rd of the barrel so the honey will circulate a little, and it does. The one I have (barrel heater) is older but still works..  I can put my hand on it after a night of being left on so I have some confidence in it.. I have felt some newer ones I could not keep my hand in place after an hour. I like warmth not outright HEAT, but thats a personal thing.. I've been told the newer ones work just fine in less time..

   Shipping??   good grief, you could drive here twice and get them one at a time and still come out ahead!  The cost of shipping is just SILLY!!!
