i have seen others use these kits. i don't know how they bleach that out jack, sure is white isn't it? i would just use it to practice on and experiment with so you kind of get the hang of it.
pick out any recipe you'd like to try on the thread i started and any of us can tell you how we do it. it is pretty easy, the pouring part can be a pain, i am not so good with a pyrex measuring cup.
the key is to get the lip balm to the flavor and/or consistency you want it. how i gauge this is, when i melt the wax and add the ingredients, stir it up, i will take a teaspoon, dip it in the mixture, drop some on wax paper, throw it in the freezer to firm up. take it out, wait a bit and smear it on. or just drop some on wax paper and wait for it to firm up and test try it. the thing about this, your recipe isn't 'ruined', you can remelt, add more wax, or your other ingredients to get it to the consistency and strength of flavor you want. it's just takes some experimenting and messing around with it at first.
but don't forget to write down how you did it..........
EDIT AND ADD:
if your lip balm is a little on the stiff side, remelt, add more of whatever carrier oil to the mixture......
if your lip balm is too soft, remelt add more beeswax
hope this helps jack.......
