Fuddruckers Hamburger and Fries Seasoning
« on: December 02, 2014, 11:07:48 pm »
fuddruckers is a hamburger joint, they excel at and make the best burgers and fries, and all the fixin's.......anything you can think of to put on a burger at their 'build it your own bar'..........

they use fresh ground beef, not frozen patties, and grill it to order; whatever burger size you want, and doneness.  always very juicy and tasty. i think the real secret is the seasoning on the burger, and the fries.........i put this seasoning on burgers, and potatoes, grilled or pan fried.....and have also used it on oven baked fries and tators............try it out!

fuddruckers hamburger seasoning:

ingredients:

2 teaspoons paprika (we use a smokey blend of paprika)
1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 1/4 teaspoons salt  (we use ground sea salt)
1/2 teaspoon dark brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper

directions:

Combine all ingredients in a small bowl. Sprinkle on hamburger patties before grilling, broiling, pan frying........

Makes 2 tablespoons.

i also rub a little olive oil  on the burgers or fries  before putting the seasoning on.

very good!

i have also used this seasoning to sprinkle on tator tots, or waffle fries........ :D

I ate at Fuddruckers a long time ago.  I don't think they are around here anymore. I will give this a try at work and see if the kids notice.  Thanks, river.

not many around anymore, only ones in wisconsin are on the east side. one near the mall of america in minnesota.  a few years back, we were traveling through montana, on our way up to kalispell to see my family.  we are not much on fast food when we travel.  stopped in billings at fuddruckers, and decided to order a couple burgers to go............. :D :D :D

what a messy operation that was..........you don't really take their burgers to go unless you have a table in the vehicle........ :D

hope the kids like it bakers!

That's good stuff, river.    :eusa_clap: I made about 2 cups of the seasoning and tried it on some tater tots for a couple of kids.   I haven't had a chance to try it on the whole gang.  But I can tell that is something they will really like.  For that I would need to make quite a bit more.  Lately, I have been trying to keep them stocked with cinnamon honey butter.  I am making that with 3# of butter at a time and they are scraping the bowl.  I've decided that the honey butter will have to be a special occasion treat.
My boss is a real cheapskate.  I've had to start making all my own poultry seasoning blends, rubs and bbq sauce.  This is a good addition.

We have a good many Fuddruckers in Texas.  They do make a great burger, and yes, I could see where eating one in a car would be a pain.  Their bars of veggies and dressings is unbelievable.  Fuddrucker's secret to success is their adherence to fresh meat cut from prime meat and ground in-house.  My old papppy was a long time rancher and he said, "if you want a good steak, you have to start with a good piece of meat."  Most fast food hamburgers are from frozen patties made from the scraps of the sloughier houses.

Thanks for posting the recipe Riverbee.  I will mix up a batch and see how it goes.  I enjoy a Fuddrucker's hamburger as much as I do a good steak.  Dang, they're good.

Today I liberally used the seasoning on corn.  I did add a little more salt and some butter.  All I saw was clean plates.

LOL!!! bakers you made me laugh!  i had forgotten, i do use this on ears of corn.............i use olive oil on the corn, sprinkle the seasoning on, wrap it in aluminum foil and put it on the grill for about 8 minutes, turning every couple of minutes......good flavor to the corn!

how did you serve up the corn?

how did you serve up the corn?

It was frozen, off the cob.  We were having Mexican food.  Nachos with meat and cheese, Spanish rice, refried beans and corn with all the goodies (sour cream, salsa and jalapenos).  Happy, happy kids!

Lemon pepper is very good seasoning on corn.  It is especially good on "corn on the cobb" with a smear of butter and then lemon pepper.  Try it sometime!
