Gota love Florida weather?
« on: December 14, 2014, 02:11:49 pm »
Yeah that's a question mark. Was 34 this morning, back to 64. While on face value, would seem good but it keeps the bees active more then in cluster. Have to check stores soon.

As you can see they are active, thinking they are working loquart trees alot in area seem to be about only thing in bloom at moment.

Absolutely not, all  honeybees propolize to one degree or another. Some propolize heavier than other, some very heavily propilize.....like mine. Lol:P

Barry, I think both of our weathers share a lot in common, temperature wise.  Though we had some nice rains yesterday and today, the temps still went up into the 60's (17.3 C) and are expected to get higher tomorrow.
If you'd like, you can give a look at this link and see the reports on my front yard weather station.

As soon as the clouds stop releasing rain, bees start crowding around the flowers of my blossoming loquat trees. The music of the bees and the fragrance of the flowers are something that just can't be put to words.

Ohh very similar weather, with regards to the use or more specifically what we might construe as excessively propolizing, I believe has little to do with where they currently are but where the strain originated. Makes perfect sense that bees originating from very cold (  I. E . Caucasian mountain's ) would make a extreme effort to seal all cracks, crevices, holes and reduce entrances. Those from more temperate
