My 2,000 feet of pine is still underneath a tarp in the driveway in everything from 8 foot to 16 foot lengths!
Don't know when or how I'm going to be able to get started, it's too darn cold.

Scott- "If I can quit injuring myself I can quit falling behind!

You still dealing with the bronchitis?

Mkay Scott, I have an aging tidbit for you, whether you want to hear it or not  ;D

A few years ago... or more. I was talking with my doc, telling him that I seem to be falling down a lot more these days, I was sure it was a brain tumor.

Doc said "Jen.. it's not a brain tumor. It's called 'Reverse Adolescence'. During teenage adolescence the body is growing faster than the brain can keep up with. Therefore, teens are subject to wrecklessness and injuries.

But when we get closer to 50, the brain is still going at a rapid pace, but the body is slowing down and can't keep up with the demands of the brain. Therefore, us middle agers are once again subject to injuries.

The trick is slowing down a bit and being more calculated with our body movements... so we avoid unneccessary injuries.

So, I tend to trip over the dumbest things in the road, sidewalk, backyard. So, when I'm on vacation there is No Sight Seeing For Me unless I'm sitting down on a bench enjoying the vista view. Otherwise I pay close attention to where my feet land while walking.

Just cause I care, forever Jen  ;D ;)

I just finished a wind break for the bees.  This spot is hard hit by spring, summer and fall winds that are usually enough to cause them unnecessary difficulty, up to 25 gust 35 mph in spring.  Made some steps down to the bees too, the road base I put down seemed to enable my constant slipping and falling.  The steps cured that.  Not the best place for bees, but it is close to the house  :)

P.S. Lazy, do you need to wear glasses?  ;)

I'm finding this thread VERY depressing.  I still haven't had time to clean out my shop to be able to make the woodenware I need/want... let alone actually making the equipment   :'(

One of my winter projects has been upgrading my power tools.  One purchase was a new HDGrizzly bench top drill press.  I made a new DP table so I can set the back stop where I need it.  Installed T track with clamps.  Also, made an off set circle recess with a blank filler so when I drill too deep I can turn the blank and get more out of it and replace when needed.  Table is made out of baltic birch plywood.  BB plywood stays straight due to every layer being birch veneer. The adjustable back fence I made using aluminum 80/20 that I got from work.  It is T slotted so I can make block stops for repetitious drilling projects.  Coated with poly.

wow Crazy.. thats basically a milling machine now!  Looks good! Looking forward to seeing it get dirty!

I ran out the stuff for another 100 frames today.  Routed handholds and painted boxes I stapled together yesterday. And stapled together a few more robbing screens..
