Interesting thought Iddee.
I am reading a book that has a section in it describing that planting areas (where large pollination is needed) with basically wildflowers helps retain and attract other wild pollinators. Studies also show that honey bees do a much better job of pollinating when other wild pollinators are present.
While the size of some of these huge tracts of land will always require the migration of honey bees, the landowners can really help themselves by also including non-target crop areas as well. Honey bees tend to focus on the higher parts of trees whereas wild pollinators apparently focus on the lower parts.
