logic, like jen said you can get shea butter off amazon or other sites that sell ingredients to those of us who use it for mixing in the beeswax for different recipes....if you google shea butter, you will get a myriad of websites that carry it.
"My concern with the various lotions is having them wiped off in the socks or gloves. I suspect most of them will work, if they stay in place long enough. That’s why I like the idea of a heavy weight lubricant; harder to wipe off."true logic. i posted about the avon intensive therapy hand cream. i had a guy friend, carpenter, works indoors outdoors year round, who suffered severely from cracks in his hands and the heels of his feet. very dry skin in the winter. i gave him a tube of this stuff. his hands were pretty bad and painful. i told him to smear it on, it does soak in, doesn't wipe off, doesn't leave a film, or greasy feeling. being a manly man he was skeptical, but it worked. he wore socks to bed with it on, and told me he wore some sort of gloves also for a few days............
not necessary. he uses this stuff regularly in winter months, not a problem since. not saying it will work for everyone, but it's good stuff to try. comes in regular and oatmeal base. we have been using it for about 20 + years, no dry/cracked skin. winters here are brutal, no humidity in the air.
