Movie American Sniper
« on: January 18, 2015, 11:47:34 pm »
The wife and I went and see American sniper in IMAX tonight.  I go to very few movies but I have to say it is one of the best told life stories I have ever watched.  Let not turn this into a political debate.  Just think its a great reflection on the life of Chris Kyle

I think the last movie I saw in the theater was Star Trek:  First Contact back in the '90s.

Watched the trailers, can not imagine having that kind of responsibility.

I cant count on my hands as many times as I have been in a movie theater. Its been years since the last time.  I am glad I went Clint Eastwood did a wonderful job directing the movie.  The Chris Kyle story couldn't have been told any better. and the ending was the icing on the cake.

chitty chitty bang bang,  chitty chitty bang bang,  chitty chitty bang bang.

I "think" 1968 was the last movie I saw in a theater.

You folks don't know what you're missing.
Large popcorn + candy treat (twizzlers) and a large soda = $24.95 :o
The last time my wife, son, and I went it was over $85!

Perry you just said one reason I don't go because of the price of ticket and goodies, set at home and have my own popcorn and drink for much less, pluss the gas to get there and can pause the tv when I have to do to the bathroom which is quite a few times now and not miss the movie.

Last time I went to see a movie, when Jaws first came out. I'm not a modern day movie watcher. I like the old western movies of the 1950 era. I have most of them on DVD now.

There was something about that movie that always scared me as a kid when they would have it on TV around the holidays. :-[

I love the Big Screen, but rarely go to the movies. And yeah, netflix is the way to go. I will check out this movie American Sniper tho. And don't forget Red Box, that's a good deal for watching movies at home. Just finished the Hobbit, and working on the Hunger Games now.

In my ignorance I had never heard of Kyle.
Now all I can say is "WOW!".
Thanks for the link, Wayne.

Same here Ef.... I read almost all of it, but couldn't finish it cause this story has such a sad ending.
