I like to maintain a little open space around the house so i can keep the deer from just walking in the front door.

How about those sonic vibrator things?  Anybody have success with those driving away the moles?

Pocket gophers and moles are in heaven here at my house.  I can trap the pocket gophers, but can't get the moles.  My son is good at watching and getting them with a shovel, but not me.  A guy who makes his living killing these critters  posted this web page aobut it:  http://themoleman.com/

In the summer when we wasn't putting up hay for 1/2 cent a bale, my buddies and i would caddy at the private Golf Course, carry two golf bags for 18 holes for $4.00. Well we found out that the club house manager would pay a $.25 bounty on gophers and $ 1.00 for moles ,they would furnish us a water hose to drown them out ;D. We made more money killing gophers and moles, and had alot more fun than hauling hay and caddying. Thanks Lburou you brought back some memories :D Jack
PS. you can't imagine how much those greens cost, even back then. :o

Could be Slow, :D Those were rough times. At that time it didn't matter how early you showed up at the caddy shack for a job, it was who could kick who's butt was how we knew who's turn it was. My buddies and i was in our early teens and we had to compete with older guys, mostly black guy's. The manager got tired of breaking up fights and complaints from there customers, so he started giving out numbers when we showed up to show who was up next for a job. We usually showed up first, but we went after the gophers and moles, it was more fun than packing golf clubs all day. :D Jack
