More snow pics.

For those that just can't get enough........................
I just got back from checking a couple of my outyards, the furthest ones, because we are supposed to get another 18 inches of snow on Sunday. Figured I better take a look.
Yard # 1

Now, that was the better of the two yards!
Here's yard # 2:

Check out the 2 bumps in the snow above and left of the hives! :D

I was a little worried so I dug a hole down to the upper entrances and saw they had air space.

I'm gettin tired!

When you opened those air holes, the temp probably dropped 20 degrees at the hive entrance.

They've really been talking about the snow on the nightly news this week.  Record snowfalls, roofs collapsing, etc.  Supposed to get another foot or two of snow this weekend.  And they're talking of up to 75 mph winds.  I hope everyone up there comes through it ok!

They're talking about some snow here Monday and later in the week with near-zero temperatures.  Luckily, around here these cold snaps only lasts for a week or less, for the most part.

I wished I lived a little closer to you. I could help you dig out some of those hives. My hives sit 18 inches up off the ground on cinder blocks. It makes a difference when we get snow like this.

Mine are all doubles (except one) that are sitting on pallets.
I just got done at the Farmers Market (Saturday) and the guy at the table next to me and was doing math on his phone. We have a major storm arriving tomorrow and another already on it's way for Wednesday. Worst case scenario between the 2 storms could bring 32" of snow!

PS - Ray, thanks for the offer and if you are ever in the area, do it in bee season and we'll have a blast!  :)
