SNOWMAGEDDON!
« on: February 16, 2015, 09:55:37 pm »
We are just getting plowed out after a huge storm! It was kind of weird to not be able to get out of our driveway if there was an emergency. Our plow guy that we have on a yearly basis had 3 of his trucks down. We finally found someone late this afternoon and he showed up!

You call that snow? You just got a dusting Michelle. I'm gonna go outside right now, in the dark, and take a few pics to show you what snow looks like. I'll be right back.

yes but I am on 4 acres Perry, it is higher in the drifts! LOl The wind was wicked at making huge 6ft drifts that really don't show up in the photo well!

We got a dumping of snow! It's quite a shock to see just how much snow came down when the sun was shining this morning. The banks on the drive way are huge, like 10 ft huge! I just can't wait for spring thaw

Perry and Michelle, that is the kind of snow I grew up in just 30 minutes from where we live now. The storm in this pic hit 5 years ago. My father-in-law, Warren, still lives on this property. We had to keep this path clean for him to get from his house to this house. A kitty was left behind from the last renters, and we knew that Warren would brave anything to make sure kitty was fed everyday.

That bright blue sky just means COLD in the north country. Clouds the color of lead means not-so-bad
I live far enough east of Lake Michigan to miss most of the lake effect snow, that means I miss a lot of the lake effect warmth.
