Bee venom treatment for arthritis
« on: March 15, 2015, 09:44:56 pm »
What is the recommended schedule for treating arthritis with bee venom?  A fellow beekeeper commented on my limp.  I explained it was arthritis and he quoted Randy Oliver's recommendation of 50 stings per year in the effected area?  Does anyone know anything about this?  I have wished for some time that the bees would sting me in the knee, but no...they want to get my ears and arms. The girls don't understand that I don't have arthritis in my ears.

Everyone is different. I try to get 2 or 3 a week. My wife gets 2 at once, about three months apart. Others I know use different amounts at different intervals. Pick one up with tweezers, place her beside the kneecap. If no relief in an hour, do a second one. Wait a few days and do again as needed.

That's good advice Iddee  :)

Hi Baker :) As an apitherapist, may I ask where you are hurting? seems as you commented on a limp, I'm guessing hips and/or knees?

Thanks for the pm Jen.  I replied back.
Left knee.  For about 5 years, I moonlight for the newspaper.  In and out of a low to the ground car.  It took a big toll on that knee. I now get out the car like a lady.   O:-) I swing both legs out before standing.
