Tats
« on: March 18, 2015, 03:50:36 am »
After reading about Lindsay’s queen bee tat, it kind of stoked my curiosity again.

I’ll admit I find tattoos kind of fascinating.  I’m always curious about what tattoos people have and where they’re at.  I guess maybe I got that from an old girlfriend that had a bunch of tats, I don’t know  ;D

So what about the other bee keepers out there?  How many of you have tattoos?  Is iddee going to get Worldwide Beekeeping inked across his back?

I've got 4, all about 30 years old. Almost all are animals. In hindsight I would not do it again. Mine are colourful and are of animals (mostly), but with time...........................
Whether we like it or not, people develop first impressions, and sometimes they are hard to get past. Some of the stuff I see today will look pretty interesting in 30 years! :o

Sorry, Logical, but if Iddee posted what he thinks of tats, he would have to ban himself for life.

I have 4 most are old but I do have this one on my leg I got a few years back in my wilder drinking days.  We was all at eureka springs Arkansas with a group of friends who all decided to get tattoos.  I told them I wasn't going to get one.  One of the guys wife said I didn't have a hair on my  etc if I didn't get one.  So I went into the parlor and had this put on my leg to remedy the problem she pointed out.

It takes me hours to purchase a new purse, never can decide about a new hair do or shoes so I keep the same.  How would I ever, if I was inclined to, decide on a tattoo?  I think I just missed that tattoo craze when it started in the late 70s. Girls were starting to get them in places that were easy to cover up.  I got an airbrushed tattoo a couple of months ago and couldn't wait for it to wear off.  No thank you.  And that's the way my husband likes me.

I have none. I get too bored with stuff very quickly and can't imagine looking at a tat the rest if my life. Wife would probably remind me of it on a daily basis as well and I don't need to add anything to her current lists. I am also very cheap. Every time I looked at it I would think of something else I wished I would have spent my money on.

I have 4 but they are big, wife has 8. None are visible unless I,m wearing shorts and most people are shocked that we have them.

Once you get one you may want more,We still want more and the only thing stopping us is the cost (we have better things to spend money on
and good ink is not cheap)

I have none, agree with Keith. However, I am not at all offended by tats, more fascinated with the story behind it. I have said that if I were to get inked it would have to be something so very special. I am a massage therapist, I've seen many tats, so far none have appealed to me personally. I have harbored thoughts of women getting tats in exposed places, in that, one day they will want to wear something very beautiful, like a sleevless or strapless wedding dress or and inaugural gown... and there is Snow White with her favorite dwarf on her upper arm...

I do watch Ink Masters, it comes on twice a year. It's fascinating and the competition is grueling. The judges on this show, Dave Navarro, Chris Nunez, and Oliver Peck are strict with the competition. These experts have seen sooo many bad tats, that they want to teach tatoo artist to be the best, and have a strong conscious as to what they are inking on other peoples bodies. I look forward to this show every season.

King- Exactly! Good ink is the word here. If I were to get a tat, it would have to be from a superior tat artist even if I had to travel.

My nephew is working on a beautiful tat sleeve, he did his homework and choose a japaneze artist that was in the states for a short peroid of time. It was expensive but well worth the money.

I got one when I turned 30. I wanted to do something wild! It is of one of my dogs that I had. I used to breed and show Siberian Huskies and this is one of my favourite girls! It needs to be filled in again with the white which has faded. I don't regret it at all. It never is seen by anyone other than me or my husband! :P

I do Tats for free if your interested? Ears only and only one type (JLB), it can be put on either ear. I get the ink from the feed store. No appointment needed. Jack

I have two.  One is only ever seen by one other person (I may, or may not, have gotten it when I was 16), the other is only seen by people once or twice a year, if that.  It's on my shoulder blade and I'm just too white to ever be in the sun without a shirt on. One's a small dagger and the other is a black panter with my 4 kids names around it.  I'd do it again... But probably only because they aren't seen by anyone.  We have a few people at work with sleeves.  They have to wear flesh-colored sleeves over them, or long sleeve shirts, while at work because visible tats are against policy. Kind of makes me wonder what people are thinking when they do some things to their bodies...  But, just cause it's not for me doesn't mean it's not for someone else.

Interesting Cpn about a black panther with you childrens names. I'm always interested in animal spirit healing. If you don't mind sharing, what is the purpose of a black panther?

Anchient tribal tatoo's really appeal to me ~

Sorry, Logical, but if Iddee posted what he thinks of tats, he would have to ban himself for life.

LOL.  Surely you can’t get banned from your own forum!  What fun would that be  :D

Have you ever seen the GIANT tattoo in the back of Mariah Carey ex husband?

I'm thinking something like that would be good marketing, but saying 'Worldwide Beekeeping'.

The closest I’ve ever come to getting inked was in High School.  I had a physics test coming up and I hadn’t memorized all the equations yet so I wrote a bunch of them on the palm of my hand.  By the time the test started my palms were all sweaty fearing I would get busted for cheating.  The dang equations got all smudged up and I got a C on the test. :'(  Lesson learned; next time study harder in advance.....or do a better job cheating. ;D
