Baker- I don't like wally world either, it's a political thing. But we are a small town and that is the one multi purpose store we have. I will add tho that walmart hires many people that might not be hirable anywhere else.

I despise WM... unfortunately, that's what's primarily in my area as well.. Well, that I can afford.

Since our wm went to a Super store, it's worse than ever. Never stays stocked, such a disappointment.

I like how the 501s fit at the waist, but I prefer how the Levi’s fit my legs. Wouldn’t it be nice to cut and paste our cloths.

I have bought some of iddee’s $9 walmart specials for some of my more nasty physical labor chores. Actually kind of like them. Luckily in the Midwest, we have Meijer Super stores which serves the same market as Walmart. Usually where there is one around here, there is the other. I usually shop at Meijer’s. They’ve done a lot of things better than Walmart has, but I also spend some time at Wally World.

I am glad to see I have some kindred spirits here regarding WallyWorld. Actually, I really like KMart! I could walk in, throw clothing in the cart and know it would fit and how long it would last. Sadly, the local KMart closed and now I drive about 30 minutes when I need my KMart fix.

I like knowing that it's not just our wm. The walmart where my daughter lives is always stocked. I think a family as big and wealthy as the family that owns it should make sure at every single store is fully stocked at all times. I kinda hope they go down, wouldn't hurt my feelings any ~

I quit going to WalMart when they had a cart checker compare the contents of your cart to your receipt between the cash register and the door on the way out. I find it insulting and offensive.

They check carts at Walmart? Never had that happen to me. That is the routine at Sam's club though.

I'm not sure we even have any Kmarts left around me.

I haven't been to one in ....probably decades! I always liked them as a kid. Ironic thing is they were founded and headquartered in metro Detroit for the longest time until the Hedge fund guys got ahold of them.

Well you might not like Walmart but I read a report this morning that they were the largest employer in 20 states. I sure use them for you cannot beat their prices on a lot of items.

I've noticed over my lifetime that people tend to hate financially successful people and entities. I never understood why, but it has always been that way. Wal-mart employs more than any other private business in the US. It enables people to buy things they could otherwise never afford. It employees the otherwise unemployable. It serves the public 24/7.

Yet, being financially successful, it receives nothing but hate and disgust from those it serves.

Best i remember Sam Walton would not sell anything that wasn't made in the US of A? Now that he's gone you can't find anything in the stores that are made in the US of A, except the employees.

I admire people who get there by their boot straps, but don't care for those that take advantage of others to get there. Jack

Most be a regional thing,Sams yes ,Walmart no.
Must be too much stuff is leaving without being paid for.

You would not believe how much stuff walks out in a day.

The pay and benefits could be a lot better at walmart. Last year I think they made a profit of 15 billion and payed out only 2 billion for their employees. Its a cheap outfit to work for. Its time people think about unionizing walmart. Anybody that talks about a union around here wont have a Job tomorrow. I buy very little from them. I try to support the small shops first before I walk in this place.

Take a gander at the average WM employee and watch them work for awhile. Then tell me just how much they should be making, when the US is full of very intelligent, hard working people who are unemployed. WM could get twice the talent for very little more money, but they have the heart to hire those who can't find work elsewhere.

PS. Add to that 2 billion, the taxes that WM pays each year that subsidize those low paid employees. Then what is the total?

Now if you really want service, go to sears. My son bought life time shocks at sears for his truck. Over 500.00. This morning, I took his truck in for new shocks. They were totally gone. Sears said, "sure, for 150.00, we will replace them".

Only the part is warranted. Installation is 150.00.
I says, "OK,give me the shocks and I'll have them put on".
Sears, "If you do, the lifetime warranty will be voided". If we don't get our 150.00, we won't warranty them again in the future.

Now, that's what I call SERVICE.

Went to Sears a year ago to buy a new washer, like to never found someone to wait on us to show the difference in the types. I was in overalls ball cap and T-shirt my wife was dressed up tho, well the salesman seen a woman looking at a double door refrigerator and left us to go help her? Well my wife didn't like getting snubbed so as we were leaving the salesman was checking the ladies credit, we was going to pay cash.
