Got up to 82 degrees today, to hot, rained this morning and had to wait until the grass dry to mow the  front yard and I usually pick up the leaves with a sweeper, took me 4 hours to cut and get the leaves up and I am beat. One nice thing the honey bees love this heat and they finally are on the blackberry vines in a big way, some right behind the hives in the other lot, never saw a bee on them last year, looked like the whole hive was on them they were so thick with bees.

Raining (we need it) the bees aren't flying . Cool down coming, high's in the low to mid 40's
Checked the: http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions//multi_season/13_seasonal_outlooks/color/churchill.php

3 month prediction: EC = equal chance of either Above Normal, Normal or Below Normal Temperatures.  ???

The Old Red Maple is ready to burst into bloom, but if it doesn't warm up, it won't do my bees any good.

Just checked the weather forecast for West Michigan. Wednesday's - low 29F  :'(  . Scary, the fruit trees are budded out and freeze could really mess things up.

Yes, things do not look good up there...   Temps are going to drop here Monday to the 50's and 38 ish at night...  looks like a week to ten days of cooler night time temps, but I have not seen anything to indicate frost or freeze here  "YET"

like scott, about the same craziness, it was a beautiful 75 F here today, tonight some rain trying to roll in. extended for the next couple weeks, is like scott said, 50's during the day with some nighttime temps dipping down anywhere from low 30's F to high 30's F.  also rain predicted, we could really use it!

It's back  >:(  . Here in West Michigan, after a brutal winter, it warms up and up and up into record high temps. Then, guess what, we got a frost last night  >:( . My bees were bringing in pollen yesterday, lots and lots of pollen. Today it was warm enough but the girls weren't doing much. I checked my boss's apple trees yesterday morning. The pollen was unripe and the color of the stamen. Today the pollen was darker, but the bees were ignoring it. The dandelions are blooming, maybe they will carry the hives through until the next flows.
