optimus prime and bear
« on: May 24, 2015, 08:37:18 am »
I thought I would share this landon is an amazing young man I have gotten to know quite well.  Landon is one of our shrine children I drive.  He was born with cleft palet and his legs attached to his back.  After a botched surgery in Wichita they got him into shriners hospital.  Unfortunately he lost both his legs over the deal.  When optimus prime of the transformers heard his story and found out the Landon was a big fan of transformers. he sent him a special message.   We have also added optimus prime to our cartoon unit for bear.  Amazing young man nothing slows him down

What a great story Riverrat.  It comes at a good time for me, as one of my wife's top employees attempted suicide last evening.  A nice story of Shriners such as you dedication their time and money to new life is just what I needed to see this morning.  God bless you and your Shriner brothers for helping so many deserving people.

I need to be reminded about those among us that took the HEAVY hits.  It reminds me of how blessed most of us are.

Thanks again for posting this, and a big, loving thank you for your service the less fortunate.  This is truly God's vision of his children.

Awwwe Geeez, makes me cry. I love stories of the pheonix that rises from the flames, against all odds. One day I will meet you and give you a big shriney hug  :) ;)

Matt spends a lot of time with Landon It has been a big help for both.  Here is a pic of Matt and Landon.   The other pic is of  Landons transformer legs they put magnets on the inside so he could carry his cars and other toys around with him.  Pretty cool I would say

Notice Matt is having fun in the picture showing Landon how to wear his leg backwards and Landon is doing it to.  You should see Landon do a hand stand nothing slows him down

I Invited Landon to ride on our hospital transportation Van float in the big riverfest parade in Wichita last night.  This is the silliness we got before the parade started.  His
mother had told him to climb up in the chair and sit down and he said like this?
