We did a cutout at yesterday from a stall of an old hay barn. Swarms are definitely more fun and a whole lot easier but, since I had some spare time, I decided to take this one on. We did find and cage the queen. It sure would be a shame to do all that work just to have them abscond. The stalls aren’t being used at the moment so I’ll probably leave them where they are for a few days. There were approximately two deep frames of capped honey that we dropped in a bucket with a plan to strain it give a couple bottles to the owner but, after tasting the honey, I think I’ll just carry it back over and let them have it back. I didn’t see any signs of fermentation but it does have an odd taste to it.
Most of the video is in fast mode to keep it from being waayyyy to long to watch.
