That is a beautiful place this time of year. I spent last week up there. It's right on Lake Superior in the upper peninsula.
I met a few beeks in the plant there. They are all getting ready for winter, as its already cooling off. It was 46*f Friday morning when I left.
Their bees should have plenty of pollen, the goldenrod was blooming everywhere.

It is beautiful there ANY time of year. Fishing in the lake east of town is good most of the time. Snowmobiling in the winter doesn't get much better. Same with cross country skiing. Deer hunting isn't so good a few bad winters and Wolves have hurt the deer heard badly.

For rainy days.

•Marquette Maritime Museum & Lighthouse
•Upper Peninsula Children's Museum
•Marquette Regional History Center
•Iron Ore Heritage Trail, maybe not this one.

Any day in the summer or after ice out.

I really wanted to visit the Maritime Museum, but they are only open from 10:00-4:00. I couldn't make it at those hours. I'll be going back in November,so I'll get to see it late fall/early winter.

Bakers dozen, my bucket list consists of seeing the Grand Canyon and diving the Great Barrier Reef. I hope to do both of these one day. I'm not getting any younger.

My bucket list is about all filled, Always wanted to see Mackinaw island in the summer, Haven't yet.
Deer hunt Anticosti island, that one will never happen I am afraid.

You go again in the summer go east to Munising and go on the picture rocks tour. Either the boat or rent a Kayaks and do it your self.

Porkie pine Mountian a large hill over look, not special in my book I have been in the Rockies. I have seen Butte Montana at night from the pass.

Maybe if you were a highing back pack camper.

Go south down Hy Way 41 to Rapid river turn left on US 2 take it to the Garden turn off Pass thru Garden and go to Fayette state park and enjoy the day exploreing a ghost town where they once smelted Pig iron.

1981 summer time.  There was a pass in western Washington where you came off the mountain and cross a bridge over the Columbia river where the wind would hit the truck and push it side way one whole lane if you were slacking it.
