We are going to be discussing this at our next Association meeting. In particular the beetle has been discovered in areas of Ontario (Niagara) where hives are from and brought to Nova Scotia for blueberry pollination. The largest blueberry grower here has had the importation ban of honey bees into Nova Scotia changed so that they can be brought in by "Special Permit" (ie: them) and we are very concerned about what those hives may leave behind when they return to Ontario.
