« on: September 05, 2015, 11:01:27 pm »
I am using Windows 7 on my laptop.

I am recently offered free upgrades to Windows 10.

I've been following the progress of Win 10.  I too have the installation option on my computer.  While on the whole, people seem to be pleased with the upgrade, there have been all sorts of glitches reported by people with special situations :o.  Personally, I intend to take advantage of the upgrade (in spite of the learning process it will require of me :-[), but I plan to delay installing it for several more months.  We have a year in which to decide for or against the new OS, so It seems to me best to join the bandwagon later on, after the little querky problems get ironed out.  Let Microsoft make its improvements based on the experiences of others and then, when the system is up and running really smoothely, I'll join the crowds. ;)

I have upgraded some of the laptops with little to no issues so far,If anything they seem to be running smoother.
I did have to get a couple of new drivers for some old programs that were from 2003 and earlier though.

The mouse on my wifes laptop does not click when you tap on the mouse anymore, found out that HP has not updated their drivers for it
yet.
Seems to be much better than Windows 8

My significant other belongs to a business group.  One of the members runs a computer business (repairs, installs, etc.).  He has recommended to the group that they should hold off on the install for now because there are numerous glitches in the program.

About windows 10.....Anyone using a windows 8 phone?  There will be free upgrades for those too.

We will probably upgrade to Win10 on our computers eventually, but only because its free and the Win8 is such a disappointment.

I upgraded about a month ago, and haven't had any issues. I had Windows 8 before, really glad they put the start button back. (I had downloaded a workaround though.)

Backed up all my personal files and upgraded from W7 to W10.  Absolutely love it, best product they every had.   So far every program I use has worked seamlessly and I am very happy with it.
