Aerial Video YNP and Grand Tetons
« on: October 14, 2015, 08:28:35 pm »
i thought this video was cool. this company does some amazing stuff, and the video of the uss hornet (link at the end of the video) was pretty cool too.
the flip side of this equipment, now banned from national parks and soon wild fire areas, stupidity seems to reign over common sense, but still, in this video some amazing footage.

"Aerial footage from the Yellowstone and Grand Teton area shot from a TPPacks.com Lobster V2 Y-6 copter and AG1kDD brushless gimbal. Gimbal is controlled by a Viacopter brushless gimbal controller and the camera is a Sony NEX 5N."

i have a younger brother who developed an interest in flying remote control airplanes, wow, what absolute fun (and expense) not to mention some talent in doing so. he moved on to experimenting with go pros and other flying contraptions to carry the go pro.  some amazing video from these things.  he won't let me fly his equipment cuz i sorta crash landed one of his expensive airplanes a few years back......... :D

Ya know? That is just some doggone fantastic footage there! Breathtaking, kept my interest all the way thru. We have some lovely grasslands like this film shows and I love visiting them. Interesting... not a single animal in the film...

thanks jen, it is some great footage, and amazing footage from a little camera mounted on some flying object.  interesting observation though about not a single animal, i noticed that too!  i have been to or traveled the areas i think were filmed in yellowstone, it is pretty desolate.
