Fall Dinner
« on: October 25, 2015, 12:08:20 pm »
Our local group, Cherokee Beekeepers Association or on FB, had our annual Fall Dinner last week on Saturday night.  Great food, fun, and fellowship.  One of our members has a beautiful estate with a huge barn renovated as an event hall with sawdust floor, electric lights, balcony, etc.  We had a great time.

Me, my Dad, and Kevin the Assn. President on banjo provided entertainment:

My cousin Brad arrived to play the guitar:

OK, now I'm hungry!
Thanks for sharing, Slowmodem.  Looks like a great time.  Glad to see the entertainment.  That makes it that much more fun.

I forgot to mention while catching up that I got 6 gallons of honey out of two hives this year (it was a weird weather year).  It's lighter than last year, but still tastes great!  :)

I split one hive so now I have three and they're still doing well (I'm still feeding because they're still taking it and everything is brown now).

I stopped by and met Newbee recently.  He's moved from NY down to the town where I work.  What a nice guy!  He will be an enthusiastic beekeeper!  :)
