Brand new coffee bar opened here in town and they contacted me to use our Honey in their coffees and gave me a shelf all to my own :-)
They opened Dec 14th and today was the 3rd time I have had to fill this shelf.

Not huge but gotta start somewhere

It's funny how it starts, a little here, a little there. You start adding it up and it can work out to a nice tidy sum. ;)

PS, I can never understand folks that put honey in coffee! :o

I agree, the only way to drink coffee is to take it black...

some coffee drinkers like 'sweet' in their coffee, will use sugar...........mine did, now only uses honey.  can't tell you how many times in our travels, folks swiping the small honey jar to add MY HONEY to their coffee rather than sugar!

since this thread has taken a coffee turn I'll weigh in. :) I always drink my coffee black but this fall and winter I started drinking one cup a day with a tablespoon of goldenrod honey and had almost no need for my sinus allergy meds. :)

Yankee, you should make a video of your soap making process!  I spent the evening last night watching youtube videos about soap making.  Had no idea what one could do.

Many on youtube just buy the soap and incorporate it into their process by remelting it.  How do yo feel about that?  What per cent beeswax would you sy you use in your soap?  Inquiring minds want to know...    O:-)

I can do a video.

We don't do melt and pour, we make our own soup base with oils and wax. We do the cold process method with lye.

Our beeswax is 4%. Then we use Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Cold pressed Sunflower Oil (from the fields our hives pollinate), beeswax, honey. water, lye.

The raw sunflower oil is very high in vitamin E, it is use for message oil, very good for skin.

wow yankiee seems we keep similar hobbies. I have made what i call vanilla latte bars, but my favs are the honey oat. going to add a bit of bees wax to mine this next time to create a harder bar. Soap making is very fun i have to work a bit more on using the puree to get a more natural product. First batch changed the scent from peach to like a play dough smell. so back to the drawing board on that one.

I can do a video...

Just let us know and I, for one, will watch with interest.

Yankee, your soap is a hit here in my neighborhood.  I was opening the box, when an extra set of hands appeared in my view and I never had a chance to posess that soap...My wife took a couple bars next door today and came back after gifting several to the neighbors, with a lot of giggles and happiness as a result.  The bars look great and smell good too. Haven't tried it yet, but they sure pass the eye ball and nose tests with flying colors!  Thanks!  8)

Momma,

I have not gotten Peach/Apricot to work in soap. Tried twice and neither turned out so I gave up, don't know why it doesn't work but scent doesn't stay.

Lb,

You will notice a difference the first time you use it, give it a week and you probably won't go back to store bought soap. I have had no dry skin or itching all winter.  Glad you like, will do a video soon. Maybe Sunday.
