lee, sorry, i hope i didn't hijack your thread, we have experienced numerous flooding events, and always something when one lives close to a river.
i was curious as to how your hives are fairing? 

lol, lost creek road? there is a small creek that runs into the rush river, 'lost creek', nice brookies and some fat browns. it is a spring fed creek, a good place to spend time fishing, wandering and most of the time...........letting the trout outsmart me!......

the road i live on was named and is still known by 'lost creek road' by the old timers, and i sometimes forget (giving directions) because  now everything is just numbered for police/fire/emergency purposes, and of course a fire number.

my apologies lee, but i do understand how flooding is a royal PITA!!!

we have done a great deal of work over and over to divert water away from the house.  the house wasn't exactly built in the 'right place', but i think now we have it out of 'harms way'......?!   this is a second home that we enjoy, pretty much has been a money pit........but dang the fishing has been good and a good place to keep my bees!

my hives have never been in the water like your hives.........just everything else.......

I didn't see a SHB this year, but my bees are meaner than Africanized bees.  I think they eat SHBs for lunch.
