Anyone interested in a forum for "Preserving the harvest", off grid living, "basic survival", or similar?

Could be interesting as a forum topic here.  Not sure about a separate forum though.  Getting back to fundamentals is on a lot of people's minds these days as the struggles to survive  continue to escalate.  Self sufficiency is part of that.

I like it! I already make my own laundry soap, honey lotion, and a few other things.

I definitely would like it!  I've been canning for a couple of  years now and just got a dehydrator for Christmas.  We also got a still for distilling herbal tinctures  8)  and I'm hoping to get chickens in the spring.  I would really enjoy learning from others ways to reduce our dependency on the 'grid'.

You are talking about a hole new forum? with categories to post under like Chickens, Goats, Bees, Vegetable gardens, living vegetarian, building your own windmill, solar heat and power. I have a hard enough time keeping up with the beekeeping forums.

Hey Apis.I think the plan is to re-align a couple of things under the heading of sustainable living including forums about recipes,  livestock, gardening, honey products, etc.
I think there has been interest from members in having a separate section for that.
Those not interested would not have to sift through them.
