VM Vaporizor has been and will be considered, but last time I checked they were a little north of $3000.00  Once i am sure I will be running the route and caring for that many bees I am likely going to buy one. For this year and probably next, the cart will have to suffice..  if the VM comes into the picture the cart will be converted to carry the generator and compressor.
  Hard day, Visitation was today, Funeral tomorrow..
   
   Well, Lets see, three people, one to pull cart, two to run vaporizers. GO TEAM!  Wait. I can pull the cart and run the vaporizor so the third person can carry the rum...  Wait, if I pull the cart and have the RUM in the cart.. Right, Cart wouldnt make it far, back to plan A...  GO TEAM!

Not sure what you mean by VM? you mean Varrox Vaporizer? There is only two that I know of, the Varrox and the Heilyser? Is there another one I'm not aware of?

The way I see it.... three of us working from the same cart is going to get us three into a lot of trouble .... I was invisioning three carts one vaporizer per cart. I take the lower 400, Ted take the middle 400, and you take the upper 400. The job gets done, the bees stay healthy. Rum waiting at the end of the haul

Here is a video of a VM Vaporizer. What the big boys use. It uses a generator and an air compressor and you can probably treat 150 - 200 hives an hour or more.

LazyB & Iddee, I'm sorry for your losses. 

I lost a brother this spring, and was unable to travel to the funeral.  Lazyshooter's advice is spot on...so many questions crop up when the people who could have answered are gone.  :-)

I agree with CBT ~ If I were a commercial beekeeper with 1000 or more hives, I would find a way to invest in one of these. Beekeeping is supposed to be fun work, not back breaking.

I'm hoping that if Scott gets one of these that he will do a vid on how it works..

We will see how things go this spring treating hives with two or three varrox vaporizors and go from there....  When it comes to that kind of money i can deal with a bit of a backache... for a while

Sorry for your loss, and Sorry for the delay... I will be in St. Louis in March, but can be talked into a side trip... Or are plans still to have you come here to visit?  I have a six pack of my home brew still with your name on it... Will have to try and figure out delivery ASAP.
