Rodmaker, I bought 25 lb also, early in the fall so I dont need any wax. I may get some medium plastic early spring but that is no problem. I cant tell you for sure if their disclaimer for shattered wax due to cold is just standard procedure no matter when you order.  I did get a phone call once from Mann Lake when I ordered wax in iffy temperatures and they suggested hold shipping till the next week as the weather forecast a bit warmer. I think they are super to deal with!

I mentioned the cold weather hazard to jaybird not knowing what company she might be dealing with.

shipping wax foundation in our cold climates is a hazard this time of year, especially with the subzero temps, and it will arrive fragile, if not broken or shattered, most of the companies will tell you this as crofter said, or sign a waiver. and will tell you to wait, they are all pretty good about it.

Crofter i did have to sign a waiver but as i said it worked out well for me. You are correct i receive my orders through Woodland Ca. I do not need my med suppers until March or april so i will wait until i have to place that order. I was wanting to have my gear ready for almond bloom and that is in february for us.

"I think you and Jabird would be dealing with the California Store. Did they ask for the waiver?"

I called Glory Bee today and asked this question, and she said that if I buy this time of year I cannot return it if is damaged when I get it.  GBee is about 3 hours from us, hubby and I will probably make a day trip and bring home the wax ourselves.
