Take a deep frame to the office supply store to buy the rubber bands. You don't want them so strong that they will bow up the bottom bar of the frame. I will use 6 to 8 rubber bands per frame to hold the comb in. With a bee tree the comb is usually very "wonky" (not straight) and it makes it even more hard to band it in a frame.
The only combs you want to band in the frame is brood, not much honey at all.

If you do use bee quick (or any other bee moving chemical) be ready for them to abandon the hive or even abscond when you use the bee vac. Not only are you sucking up the bees but the chemical smell also, don't ask how I know this.

Great pics and good going so far!!
Bees are bees and do as they please!

If there is brood in the comb in the stump the bees will not leave and will raise a new queen.

Temps. got down to about 30° last night, when they got to hive this morning, all bees in the box( thank god) screened entrance and brought home, Apis he had cut comb out of tap root in the ground, just didn't understand the balling. When he got home and unloaded box on stand he reached down to check screen at entrance, and screen fell off(staples??) Said they made noise he never heard, Boom bees out box like gangbusters, chased them around yard hehe, would have gave anything to see that, they all got stung,Tony 8 times, Bob 2, dogs too, once bees went back to box ,Tony was worried they might try and swarm, queen is still in clip, not knowing if it was possible there might be another queen, so he put on his (made) swarm bandit big enough for a swarm (we had looked at what was for sale, an thought that's to small,so made this) we'll wait for weather Sat. to release her.
