Indeed! If Iddee had stubble they might get Velcro'd together!  I'd hate to see Mrs Iddee have a heart attack from laughing while they flopped around trying to get apart.

Iddee can't grow facial hair, part of his heritage.
I don't like flying so this should be an adventure in itself. There are no direct flights, so heading to Iddee's I land in Philly for an hour, then Greensboro. On the way back I spend 2 1/2 hours in Newark before leaving for Halifax. A little more take off and landing than I'd prefer.
I don't travel much, not the vacation type really. I love my home and see little need to go far beyond it. With the internet these days, you can pretty much see everything anywhere anyways.
But special people I will travel to meet. ;)
I first "met" Iddee when I was a wet behind the ears pup with basic (at best) beekeeping knowledge, back in 2009 if I remember correctly. He was running that "other place" and I was a new member. It didn't take me long to figure out who I would follow closely. Iddee and tecumseh were quite prolific posters, and I have learned a lot from them. I first learned about cut-outs and trap-outs from Iddee's threads.

I cant argue with that. If I had a choice in the matter I would never travel beyond 15 miles of where I live right now, and would die content.
I have flown a LOT, but also do not like it.. I think it has something mto do with putting my life in someone else's hands.. If my truck breaks down I coast off the road and make a phone call... if a plane breaks down.. I hope I have time to make a phone call...
Traveling to meet Iddee brought me back to my roots.. how he lives is how I remember living, and often wish I still lived. The people he introduced me/us to were good people with basic values and morality, people that ALL people should aspire to be like.. Yes, I would, and with luck, WILL one day travel down to see him again... Maybe I will eventually be able to talk him into visiting me so I can take him out on MY boat and feed him MY beer and wild game!! Show him MY weapons collection and introduce him to people "I" know that have good basic values and morality........  But I degress... Not sure if Mrs Iddee will allow the ornery old bugger to get out of her sight that long!!!
Enjoy the trip Perry. I DO TRULY wish I could make it...   Wish you would have made plans for a month later....  But as Pa always said, Wish in one hand and POO in the other and see which one fills up first!

A few more than the 11 we had when you were here, Lazy. No, the ones along the drive are still there, plus the barnyard, plus 25 at Larry's farm.
About 75 total now.

I like the hive on the end, looks like a 50 pound rock on the lid!

I really can't say enough about the welcome I received when I was there. The people were great, the weather was great, the bees were happy, just really couldn't get any better. Once things slow down for me here I will download some pics, but the ones on Iddee's camera are better than any I took.

Looking at those picks makes me feel almost homesick?!  How can that be?  I've only been there once!  Lazy?  Did you get that  lonesome,  longing, homesickie kind of feeling or is it just me flipping out?   Ted

By Jove what a collection of fine looking gentlemen! Glad it wasn't a suit and tie type of dinner though.
