Not understanding the dangerous?     I run bank poles, so do a lot of backing up away from the banks of the river, the ability to back up is quite handy. With nothing holding the motor down it just lifts itself out of the water and does not back up, which is why I had bungees on the old motor..

I made a new knuckle that screws onto the lift cylinder so that I did not ruin the original.. Cut the top of it out in a V shape, so now the pin rests in the v instead of being encapsulated.. the motor can now kick up freely....   However, I am also sure i wont be able to back up easily.. so the plan is to use a piece of spring steel that JUST catches the pin, and can be "snapped" past it in either direction.. will see how that works...  Correct prop supposed to be here tomorrow, but looks like about 15 days of iffy weather incoming...  Guess that gives me time to get more hives built!
