Perry Whats this
« on: May 11, 2016, 09:15:35 am »
Its almost in your back yard. Looks like it could be the path between your local watering hole and you back door. Looks to be only a kilometer away as the crow flies.

That's Sterling's, just down the road from me. If you really want to see a nice corn maze though, just scroll out a click or two, and then head to the left a few inches till you see the one at Noggin's Corner! Now they put on a great corn maze. They are about a mile from me.

They serve hard cider there as well! :) :D

Corn maze?   I guess I never got the draw...  wasting good corn to make a path... let it grow and send them out into the middle of 1000 acre field without a compass!!  Now THATS a maze!!!

At $5 or $10 a head those paths pay for themselves pretty quick I'd imagine. :)
PapaKeith does one every year on their farm too I think.

We have friends in Maine that do a Corn Maze every year, and I was often shocked at the amount of people that wanted to walk through corn...  Unfortunately, I think I would get laughed at a lot if I did that here..

PapaKeith has one, too. He puts a lot into the design and has a good turnout.

I've been to a corn maze that was created by a local artist on a farmer's field.  You can be sure that the farmer made a lot more money charging admission to the maze than he would have made selling the corn.  It was great PR for the farmer.  They run a gift shop and "pick it yourself" produce.

LOL.. OK, I admit I was amused too... sorry Perry....
The problem I see with the shock collars use, is that when you DO find them they are likely to be a little agitated...   Has anyone here ever RUN through corn?   You come out looking like you tried to give a CAT a bath.....

About an hour from Perry's in Truro they hold a haunted corn maze every year, for a couple of weeks around Halloween.   I tell you I've been there, done it and had the #!*$ scared out of me.  We're even talking people with chainsaws running out of the corn at you!   $20.00 a head hundreds of people every night....  Only in Canada eh.    :D :D :D

They have them in NC too. Big business. Haunted hay rides, houses and trails.
