Blueblood's Twelfth Swarm 2016
« on: May 15, 2016, 10:32:02 pm »
It was cooler today and I spent the majority of the afternoon building a run for two Rhode Island Red hens I will be acquiring tomorrow. I checked the yard as is common every day in May. I found a small 3 pounder in two clumps.

No wonder I'm not finding any swarms.  Blueblood has them all!  Good on ya blueblood!
Share that which you have an abundance of.  In doing so both the giver and receiver are enriched.

What time of day was it when you hived them?  From the video it looks pretty close to evening/night.  If that's corrrect, I can only express my amazement at the calmness of bees.  It's been my experience that bee work and darkness don't mix well.
