A Mystery member, shown below, picked up some bees yesterday.  He said it would be okay to post the picture and have you guess his identity.  Who is it?

Yes!  Lazy Shooter wanted to go with all medium 8 frames this time.  He mentioned his visit in chit chat, but I wanted you all to see what a great friend looks like.  :)

He put those bees next to some RWeaver Buckfast bees, we'll see how they do.  He also wanted to try a migratory cover.  I bought some Oops paint and mixed all the colors together and then thinned it with white and came up with that green color, how do you like it?

I always enjoy visiting with Lazy, he is more colorful in person than in print.  :)

I was surprised that none of the women erroneously thought that you were selling bees to Tom Selleck.  I guess it's the blond hair that threw them awry.  :):)

Mixing oops paint... I tried it once and they came out looking like the hive had a SEVERE case of nosema...     :laugh:

Lee's hives appear to have been finished and painted by an artist.  The hive in my SUV is finished better than the furniture in my home.  I thought about loading the bees into a different hive box and moving Lee's hive into my office for a "show and tell" item.  It's a work of art.

@Perry:

Look close at the picture of lazy and you will see that his old face has about a thousand blemishes from the sun, wind and rain.  Good looking beekeeper!  In your dreams maybe.  :):):)

Humble doesn't work in my book of good looks Lazy. Give me a rugged face over a Hollywood face Any Day! And that goes for hands as well... well used, brown spots, gnarly knuckles, add in a missing finger... now those hands are a lovely work of art...  ;) 8) ~Hugs~

Zweefer, I got two gallons of really ugly paint, mixed them and got a green.  Then, thinned it with white and eventually got the color you see in Lazy's Escalade.  Prolly won't be so lucky next time.  But, it was cheap!  :)

The mint color is real nice.  I may take an extra box to our local paint supply store and have a gallon made to match.  The computers can make matching paint now days.
