Can anyone tell me what the white stuff on this bee's body is? I see several of them flying in like that.

It could be anything, but if I was to guess, it looks like dried sugar syrup, like these bees were at an open feed barrel or something.

By the way, I see this was your first post, so I'd like to say  :welcome:

Yes I was thinking the same thing. Another thing I have seen that looked like that was when bees were sprayed. It didn't seem to effect the bees though. I Can't remember what it was. Some fungicide - fertilizer mixture used in the orchard.
