total new respect for KISS the band

I want to share a little bit of awesomeness for our country last night.  The wife and I had a rare date night with the shrine group.  We all decided to rent the suite at the local arena to watch the KISS concert in comfort.  Now I'm not a huge fan of KISS but after last night they have my total respect.  For their encore performance Gene Simmons talked about how great our country is thanked the vets and military and went on to say we don't thank them enough or do enough for them when the return home.  At that point he had some members of the local American Legion and VFW come up on stage.  He presented them with a check for $150,000 to use to help our local vets.  After which he had the whole concert crowd recite the pledge of allegiance together and then ended the show with playing the star spangled banner complete with fire works.  These guys are an awesome bunch. and from what I understand plan on doing this at all of there shows on the tour.

Gene Simmons is a very well educated man, and has done a lot of business throughout the world.

He is a true patriot!  Went to see Bon Jovi a few years ago and Kiss was with them.  Not a fan and had to close my eyes at one point but they are a sight to behold.
