Ordinary Day - Part 2

So now you have this.



From here, all you really need is some quality glue, a drill with a countersink bit, a second drill/driver for your screws, and maybe a clamp for any cupped wood.



My son's Rabbit, Thorin! Remember him!



Put your pieces together with glue, pre drill all your holes and simply screw them together! Easy!





Be careful and observant when doing all this!
Remember this little runt?



Here's what happens when you're not watching! Custom wooden ware!  :D



Here's some of the work. Once I have them all done I will set my hand hold jig up and put hand holds in all of them. Then prime!

I love seeing pictures of freshly cut wood.  They activate my mind's nose and I fill my lungs with that delicious smell.
All the more when they're pictures of such nicely cut and beautifully assembled sections.

I hear that! When we were first married my hubby worked in a lumber mill. His work clothes were my favorite to sort thru  :)

Actually I just discovered that the little runt also chewed through the flex line on the hose from my air compressor. He has the rubber chewed off it in about a half dozen places. The webbing inside is intact so I think it will still work, but I'm not impressed. Guess I'll find out the moment I turn on the valve and charge the line with air. :o

   And the Everstart to flatten that one box that wasnt QUITE truly square!!!!  I am surprised he didnt use an Energizer battery already having the bunney on hand!!!   :laugh:

   Oh that JUST made my mouth water this morning....  I dont usually eat breakfast, but Now I think I am going to...   Never know what will happen if you give the wife breakfast in bed!

When my wife was a kindergarten teacher she once brought home a large rabbit for the Christmas Holidays.  The dang thing ate up several of our house hold extension cords, lamps and such.  I'm not big on eating rabbit, but there comes a time when it could sound good.  As stated above, anything chicken fried with gravy is a good breakfast. 

In the oil patch, we have long ago discovered that field rats and mice like to eat the insulation on wiring.  When a rig is stacked in a field, the workers go around and place open bottles of ammonia near the critical wiring.  Rats and mice will not hang around ammonia.

them pictures looked familiar, I was worried till i saw a RABBIT in them :P
   Built a few myself using the RABBIT instead of butt joints in case someone wants to buy more this spring.
















   By the time I am finished I will have about six extra hives for myself, and six sitting in the back of the shop to sell, OR use myself if I have a boom of a year with swarms and cut outs.
  NO BUNNYS were harmed in the...   no, not true, I ate the bunny.   :-[

   I was brought up thinking that eating them WAS the best use  of a bunny Ef!!!    ;D

   Finished routering and painting the boxes today.
   


   That gives me about 23 empty complete hives. Will see how many swarms and cut outs I get.. with luck I wonjt have enough!

Hubby, and our friend, and I, are starting production of 4 mediums this week. Our friend is old school and very resistant to 'change.' He looks at me out of the corner of his squinted eyes, slightly shaking his head, "Why in the world would you want to change from a deep to mediums?" I tried to explain the lifting thing as I get older. "Why would you ever need to lift them?"

I told him firmly to shut up and get to work, there is a steak dinner in it for him. They have been our friends for over 30 years, we have seen our families go thru lots of stuff. His squinting subsided just a bit, so I added a homemade blackberry pie. He's now on the project with rock music in the background. Food always works with men!  :laugh:
