We are into our fourth season with bees now.  My wife 0 stings, me probably about 25 or 30.  A hit on the hand every one in a while really helps the arthritis, after the swelling goes down that is....

Michelle, it is said that beekeepers live long a prosperous lives well into their 90's  ;) And we are also just a little bit nuts  :D

Part of that equation is that bee venom keeps our adrenal glands healthy from the jump start they get with each sting.

I don't think a bee sting counts if you weren't out working with the bees, anyway.  That was just a love tap, letting you know you're disturbing the children.

The stings that count are the ones that get you while you've got the hive open, and the girls wedge their way into your veil an plant a big kiss on your face.

LOL, you need to get stung more often.. Once your blood is about 1/3 venom it doesnt bother you nearly as much.
Just dont try to get any sympathy from Iddee, his blood has been 90% venom for about 30 years. He seems to think a sting is their way of telling him they love him.
A sting now and then i very much recommend, just avoid at all costs the 30+ stings all at once!
