FWIW, I spilled some melted wax on a memorable occasion...some even streaked and splattered down the wall near the spill site. My wife went to google and found the clean up strategy that worked. To remove the last remaining bits of wax all you need is a steam iron, (capable of a penetrating burst of steam), and a roll of paper towels.
Put the paper towel over the last of the wax and a burst of steam through the towel magically melts the wax which is then immediately absorbed into the paper towel. It worked on the floor and the textured wall, (with two layers of paper towel). Not beeswax, it was from a tank I dip my hands in for arthritis pain, but will work for you when your spill is in the house & high risk. High Risk to me because I spilled it in her house!
