A video on youtube shows John Pluta I believe, using a circular saw free hand making those hand hold cuts and I cringe when I watch it. It does the job alright, but I question how safe that is.

I had to chuckle a little when I read this. A few years ago we (my family) on our drive back to Indiana from Florida we stopped by and saw John Pluta because we had watched all of his how to videos. He pulled out his circular saw and demonstrated this technique. I appreciated his help in trying to educate me but I cringed the whole time for the same reason Perry mentioned.  :o

Rober, When we started the bee ware shop we wore out a few of those. Great for a hobbyist. We had it mounted to a shaper.
