We've got callery (Bradford) pears and wild cherries blooming.  I know people say the feral Bradford pears don't produce anything, but I see bees on my trees all the time, so . . . .  :-\
How about that!!  Do the Wild Cherries produce fruit or are they ornamental?
Around here, pears of any type are not preferred by honey bees. I think there too much competition from other species with higher sugar concentrations.

It's a little later than last year, but Henbit is blooming here.

I'm assuming most of the cherries that are planted in landscaping situations around here are ornamental, but I've seen a few out in the wild.  If they are feral ones from landscape stock, then they may not produce fruit either.  I've never gotten close enough to one to check though.

I also saw some serviceberry blooming over at WCU this afternoon.
I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

Korean Spice Bush 3/29  Smells wonderful! I saw honey bees and bumblebees working it.
