Can't give you a link just yet, (maybe I'll be able to find it) but I recall seeing and reading material on this particular mite---it was being recommended as a parasite of varroa mites and was being tested to help control them.  As I recall, it was supposed to be harmless to honeybees.

Looks like I spoke up too soon----Just did some  Googling and only found negative references.  Perhaps the mite I'm thinking of was of a different species. 
Anybody else remember the referemces to a mite as a potential natural controlling agent of Varroa?
