A new beekeepers association has been born!
https://www.facebook.com/groups/GCBeeks/I started calling it Victoria Beekeepers, and folks from other organizations kept telling me we should add the name Texas to it. I'm glad I back then didn't because we have an Australian logging into our group.
But we did go with a more inclusive name: Golden Crescent Beekeepers Association. Our area is sometimes referred to The Crossroads, and sometimes as The Golden Crescent. We went with GCBA so people wouldn't think we were associated with the only television station in town.
Monday night we had 22 beekeepers and one Texas AgriLife agent in attendance. The logo I created made sense to me.

I think we had folk from every county represented Monday night. We are two hours away from any other beekeeping club:
We are all excited to finally feel like there will be some local resources.
