My first grand child!
« on: October 08, 2017, 08:48:02 pm »

I am a proud new Grandpa, got to spend sometime with them this weekend. There about five hours drive away and this is my first grand child so it broke my heart to have to leave the little guy. His name is Dakota isn’t he just a beautiful baby!

Oh Gbee, I'm happy your a grandparent, it's just the best. Dakota is Perfect!

My daughter and son in law and my two grandchildren are moving 3 hours away from us. I feel like it the other side of the continent. But I'm going to do my best to go see them about every 3 months.

Congrats!

Congratulations I think children plan the distance away so they can control how much they get spoiled but still  close enough that you can be assigned to look after the little darlings when the need to get away for a break or in the case of an emergency.
How old is the little guy?

I can’t wait till he’s old enough to take fishing or maybe even get in my hive with me. I’ve already been looking at bee suits. I think at some point I am gonna start him a hive (in four or five years) so maybe he will have something to look forward to when he comes to visit. It will also give him something to talk to me about over the phone. I am just so excited to help show him the world in a way I wasn’t capable of doing when my kids was small......I guess that’s what grand parents do. I would have been a much better parent in my forties than in my teens.

Congratulations, Grandpa.

Nice looking sprog. Does he resemble anyone in the family ?

My lot are only 5 minutes walk away. We see them very frequently. I almost need a diary to keep tabs on whose doing what and when. Grandma spoils them. I am "Grumpy Grandpa" I have to be careful about any criticism. Grandma comes out like a mother hen and I have to retreat.

I am glad she doesn't read the WWB posts.    ;D ;D
